Linkland

Turbo Tanks

I'm a big fan of Combat for the Atari! This game takes alot of great elements from the orginal, and combines it with a challenging AI opponent, and clean vector graphics. Great game to waste some time with!

Blackmeasa Source

This is an one amazng community effort! A group of game modders are doing a complete remake of Half-Life 1 in the Source(half-life 2) engine! They are trying to stick with the feel of the orginal, but are adding new graphics and re-imagining the classic levels! It has not been released yet, but you can see some of the development screenshots on their site.

D20 SRD Online

Jans W. Carton has done a fine job of placing all the open game content of Dungeons and Dragons online! I use this document all the time when I'm stuck at work and feel the need to roll up or level up one of my characters! (dork)
If your a GM that wants a way to quickly refrence rules and tables, or if your stuck without your books, this site is a life saver!

Money money money...

Mahhh... ney!

A group of freinds and I decided to do a quick Strath(Stratholme) run yesterday. Our plan was to collect some
Righteous Orbs to sell on auction. Once sold we were to split the cash 10 ways. At frist there were murmers that the loot would be only 5-10g per person, well... By the end of the night we had gathered 4 Orbs, and one epic world drop ring. I think when eveything is said and done we will all walk away with 100g apeice! Our plan is to make this run every evening. Prehaps I'll get my epic mount sooner than I expected!

Link-fest 2006

How to Make a Chip

Ever wanted to know exactly how a computer chip is made? This movie goes step by step throughout the process and explains how the layers of complicated circuitry are interconnected.

SMOD

Ahh... the Japanese, is there anything they can't do?
This is a fun HL2 single player mod that adds several novel weapons and effects to the game. There are a lot of hidden options in the mod, well probably less hidden if I could read Japanese. For example you can make ragdolls collapse more realistically, add more gore to the game, or allow the Combine and rebels soldiers to add some new weapons to their personal arsenals! The page is hard to navigate even with the translation features, so prehaps I'll make some kind of guide later.

Mecha Legos

Wow, I haven't played with legos since I was a kid, wait is 16 still a kid... never mind)! Now that hobbiest can purchase legos directly from the factory in bulk, we have started to see all kinds of great models! Almost want to buy myself a set and start tinkering again!

New ideas.

Well I just can't talk about WoW all the time (or can I? *scratchs chin*). So I have decided to do something new. If I find something new, instead of posting it over on the Beyondunreal Forums (BuF) I'll post it here!

As for me...
I didn't get that job I wanted over at PAS. :(
Oh well you can't win them all.

Ragnaros down!

Chaos Factor was on the ball this weekend! After about 2 months of work, we have finally beaten Ragnaros and mastered the Molten Core! Everyone did their part, plus all members chipped in to help others by offering potions and equipment for the fight. 40 people worked did their role, and all 40 reaped the benifits! I don't know, level 1-60 was pertty fun, but damn, when you work as a part of a group that helps bring down one of the most badass bosses in the game, it really makes the game worth playing!

Non WoW stuff to be added later :D

Nothing much, nothing much at all.

Not a lot to talk about really.

We did kill Hakkar on wednesday with the help of Darkavalon, the guild founder. We did wipe once because the healers couldn't reach Clint, but we downed him easily on the second run. The loot was not what I hoped for, it was all caster gear. The casters were however, ecstatic.

We did a UBRS run later, and the gear was just as uninspiring for my rogue, more caster gear and duid gear. Oh well, you can't win them all, and it was still fun just to go.

Today I fiddled around with some cooking quests in World of Warcraft, and collect some useful items for general questing. Later I went and got some extra keys for my car.
A pretty dull day.

Damn you Cold, and damn you Hakkar!

Well I got a cold on Tuesday, and was unable to got work. Not without trying that is. I acctually came to work stayed for a few hours and realized that I was about to get really sick, really soon. So I left around 9:30 and came home. Which wasn't so bad, because I got to hang out with Odily and rex on World of Warcraft. We went to Uldaman and killed up the place for Odily's enchanting stuff, which was hella fun. After wards we helped out my sis and Rex with some Sunken Temple quests, and got some great drops for them.

That afternoon Odily got on Rentesh's character to do some PvP. Things were going good untill we meet up with some other Chaos Factors guys. Everything was going great at frist, untill one of the members started demanding us to do this and that. For one, we were in the goof off Teamspeak channel, we have a Serious PvP channel for a reason. Two, me and Odily were there to gain rep but have fun in the process, not get bitched at. We work hard as a group and follow strict instuctions when we do Molten Core, Zul'Gurub, or any of the really tough instances. Its required in order to get those things done, and the challenge is apart of what makes it intresting. However, when we are PvPing (for Odily and I anyways) we are goofing off. If we lose over and over, fuck it, it was about the experience of the game! I know there is alot of Hardcore PvP'ers in our guild and I respect that, but please don't try to turn the relaxing channel into a shout fest.

Later on we got to do got Zul'Gurub and hopefully get to Hakkar. We only had to bring down 3 of his preists and the god himself to do that night. Unfortunatlly things got off on a bad foot. One the TS server went down, and then Clint was late due to traffic. I started to panic after I tried to go for the run and found out that my slot was taken. While I made a failed attempt of at getting the TS server back up and running, Clint had already started doing invites! By the time I got in they had filled up, luckily they got me a spot. Everything was pertty smooth, but me and Velyse died ALOT so by the time we got to Hakkar's temple we were in the red or nearing it. Well after we went to get our repeairs 10min later somones left to get repairs. To make things worse the guy got killed by some asshole of a horde player, who was camping him. By this time is was midnight, and we were not making much head way. The two patrols that guard his temple's 2nd tier were cuasing us troubles because of some group balance issues. By 12:45 we finally made it to Hakkar himself, the fight is not that hard all you have to do is let his Sons poison you and when Hakkar makes an attempt to drain our life he accidently syphens the poisons and damages his self. The problem was that the Hunter, Bonzie was having problems getting the Sons of Hakkar to us. He was suffering from lag (server wide issue recently) and it was just way too much work for one hunter to do alone. By 1:20AM we decided to call it a night, and attempt Hakkar in the morning.

This morning I got dressed to goto work but just was filling so cruddy I decided to stay home. I don't like to miss work, hell I don't like to be late for work, But thems the breaks. On a good note I did finish the paper work and put some downpayments on my new Car. Its good to get that kind of stuff out fo the way.

Wish me luck on Hakkar for this evening, we will need it!

No need for Sunday

No update for Sunday, but is Sunday really a day?

Well on the non-existent day we accomplished a lot in World of Warcraft. We were to attempt Blackwing Lair, but I was unable to go, because I was not yet attuned. Its really easy to do, but I couldn't find a party to help me out on UBRS. So I was kinna bummed out and was doing some AB with Jeffnix, velyse and other Guildies. Well out of the blue Odily asks if I wanted to do UBRS to get attuned, I was like "hell yeah"! What I discovered was that we didn't have enough to do BWL so the guild decided to do one big UBRS run to get everyone BWL attuned! Man this was one crazy UBRS run! We got all kinds great drops, and we were doing all kinds of insane shit! I mentioned that my sis was a level 51 dwarven Priest, and the Guild was thrilled! One of our Dwarven priests refused to do Onyxia so we needed another preist with fear ward(Dwarven racial priest spell). At first my sis was against being in any guild be Can't PvP but after the Chaos Factors guys agreed to help her out she is slowly changing her mind! Well that night a Devout Belt dropped, and we decided to give it to her! We even invited her level 51 to UBRS! If you can believe it, she made it through the entire instance! We got to drak and I slapped the orb for my attunment to call it a night.

Today was MLK day, and since I work for a College on Mondays, I got the day off to play some more World of Warcraft! Yeah, I know the game is a goddamn drug. Well Today I spent my day doing some Arathi Basin with Jeffnix! Man it was awesome! We were owning up the place! We did get owned by this one guild called "Fury" which were phenomenal! They kicked us all to the curb with superior tactics and gear. GG!
We are about to do ZG in a sec so I'm gonna cut this short tonight!

More and more I'm realizing that switching to Chaos Factors was the best decision I have made since I started playing World of Warcraft! :)

Onyxia, Majordomo down

Well be brought down Onyxia and Majordomo today!
unfortunately the schedule was to bring down Rag, and the Hexxer too.

I don't know what was up today but too many people just weren't "with it" today. We wiped several times which was understandable because we were trying to get 2 Quel'Serrar forged today at Onyxia. The issue was that every time we wiped 2 or 3 people wanted to ditch the raid. This hurts the group as a whole and by the end many people we carried over into MC were lacking. Now by lacking I don't mean they were bad players, they just weren't giving it their all. We half-assed our way through MC and beat Majordomo after losing to him the first time with only 3% left. It was at that point we decided we weren't doing Rag that day. After MC we headed out to ZG were we fucked around with Hexxer. The fight is complex and requires that several members cover multiple roles on the fly. If you don't pay attention, you will cause a wipe. After our 4th failure I gave up for the night. They are still in now trying again, but I don't know if they are gonna make it. They have killed the Hexxer before, but I don't know, this just hasn't been our strongest week.

With that said, even at our weakest we are still stronger than most Guilds on the server.

To lighten the mood a little check out this WoW movie I found. Some have you may have seen it already, but hey its a good one.

You know what I hate?

Folding.

Over at HAL-PC we have membership mail outs, and usually we have no more than a hundred, perhaps two-hundred on a really heavy day, but for the last two Saturdays I have had to do reams and reams of membership mailouts. Having to tri-fold, stuff, stamp and lick nearly.... 700 of these things (that's being modest) every friday is a bitch & a half! Luckily I got lots of help from the other guys who work the tech desk. It was kinna nice, I was able to talk to James about high school, and the stupid shit we used to do. We also talked about how we were disciplined as kids. I'm not wild about spanking, but some times you need to tan a kid's ass to get his attention.

We did a lot better at World of Warcraft last night. I got some time to chill out with Odily and Rex in the private TS channel. Odily explained why he was on a short fuse last night, apparently something came up about his ex, and it was the anniversary of a really tough decision he had to make in his life. Odily is one of the coolest, and most helpful guys I have meet. He will help out the members of Chaos Factors as best as he can, and really expects nothing in return. Hell the guy offered to make me a damn Heartseeker! The components alone are super expensive, just to offer such just proves how cool the guy is. Now to take to time to explain to us why and apologize for his blow up last night, thats the sign of a noble heart! Not only is he a badass holy Paladin, but his a damn nice guy too! If you ever happen to see him on Nathrezim, give him a /wave or something.

While we were waiting for the Zul'Gurub group to start I shot the shit, and Rex and Odily. They talked about how much they love fishing for awhile. LOL I'm gonna get my lil sis to draw them both lounging in a boat in their epics gear, kick'n back a few brews while fly fishing! *snicker* Just the mental image of paladins in rubber waders is making me laugh! Seriously though, I they kinna made me want to try out some fishing in WoW. Poor old Angeldevoid doesn't even own a fishing pole, hell he hasn't even trained fishing! Oh well no time is better than the present!

Zul'Gurub was ok...
They had downed everyone in the zone except for Hexxer. Man that son of a bitch is HARD. He throws down these magic totems that either heal him, or mindcontrol people in your group. If that wasn't bad enough, he will curse you so that you see these shades that come at you at all angles. Every time you get cursed a new shade is added, and unless you can kill your shade, before the curse wares off your going to get your group killed! We tried... I think three times, and we got him down to under half heath, an improvement according to Bobecca(Clint). Chaos Factors are pros at the "fuck up" but luckily we learn from our mistakes, so I expect before the next reset we will have him bagged.

OH! I didn't mention my hair-brained scheme yet! With the new "War Effort" patch you now get reputation for turnning in trade items to the quartermaster. Well I decided hey! I bet I could drop mining and get some easy reputation by switching to leather crafting!!!
*sigh* yeah so far its not one of my best ideas. I really should run my ideas by Magicite before I act on them, he is pertty good determining if its going to stupid be a or not. So far I have kept to my promis to update my blog! Two nights in a row!!! WOOOOOOooo!!!!

Must... Update!

My new years resolution is to update my blog more often!

Who the hell reads this thing anyways?
Oh well.

Today was "help sis with her broke ass computer" day. 2 days ago something weird appended with my sister's PC, it locked hard, and then lost the primary harddrive. Her and her boyfriend fiddled with it for 2 days, finally I decided to go take a look at it. By the time I had gotten to it, it was trying to boot off the 60gig from my server, and her boyfriend had replaced the supposedly busted power supply. And for some reason the 60gig was causing it to reboot when it tried to load windows. I was getting some kind of parity error, and according to some forum threads, that was due to cables. We went out and got some cables and then tried it. Nothing... It was still in the reboot loop. Then I thought "hey lets try the old harddrive". Ta'da! It worked! Now I'm just confused... My 60gig worked fine, and now it doesn't. I hope its a formatting issue with the drive. If not I bet those nutty cables killed my drive (or my sis and or her boyfriend fudged up while plugging it in).

More in the computer blues department, when I got up wednesday morning I noticed that my computer started beeping, it does that time to time, because for it kinna overheats if I leave the side on. Well this time it was consistent, but the PC was working. I take off the side and my stomach turned, the goddamn CPU fan was not moving! I fumbled to the start menu to shutdown, and quickly started turning the PC for a better look. When PC switched itself off I popped the hard on/off switch in the back and started looking for answers. It was all plugged in right... Why the hell was it doing this? I flipped the fan with my fingers and it spun a little, well nothing was blocking the fan. I checked the speed control, and it was fine. I turned on the PC and it came on just fine. *sigh*

I need to get a new Motherboard and CPU. The problem is most of the new stuff needs 16x AGP cards, and well I just purchased (by just I mean like less than a year ago) an SapphireATI 9800 Pro AGP! Luckily the new 939Dual-SATA2 by ASRock " that supports both the new 16x and the old 8x AGP cards! So I can buy that new AMD 64 Dual Core that I want, and still use my old card! Now all I need to do is save some money for it! *snicker*
Seems so simple when I say it like that.

Well speaking of things that I want but will never be able to afford...
Have you seen the new Apple computers? Holy crap those new Intel Based Laptops and Desktops looks sweet! If I had that kind of cash I would drop get one of those new Powerbooks in a heartbeat! That sexy new magnetic power plug alone makes me want to buy one! Damn you Steve!!!!!

World of Warcraft didn't go so well last night. The night started out with Odily, Loreyna, Rex, and I helping out Bobecca(Clint) with a quick Dire Maul "Tribute" run. Well Bobecca he was supposed to do a guild event in Moonglade at 6:00 and it was already past 5:00! Bobecca's typical answers is "its ok we will be alright". One of his biggest flaws is his optimism. However we did survive and finish in record time. There was some funny moments, like when Rex wasn't paying attention to the fact that Loreyna was AFK and had his character auto-following him. Yeah, if you cut a corner too quickly to go up a ramp, the person with on auto-follow will not go up with you, but follow just below you directly under the ramp. This almost caused Loreyna to run right into a big group of mobs(monsters). I thought Odily was about to jump out of his goddamn skin! "Woah Woah Rex fucking stop! stop moving!" he screamed over Teamspeak. Unfortunatlly nothing good dropped except for a plate belt and Poor Odily rolled a 7 losing an item he had wanted to Rex. It wasn't the fact that he had lost to Rex, it was that he rolled a damn 7. He griped "I always roll a fucking 7 when its an item I want!". Man, I hear that, when a item I want shows up and we have to roll 9 times out of 10 I get shit for rolls. *sigh*

Later, we headed out to Moonglade only to discover that our event had already been completed by another guild, and we had to wait later inorder to do the turn in. *grumble* So we began preperations for doing our Zul'Gurub run. The guild had already taken down some most of the bosses and some of the hardest fights were left for that night. Well it was already kinna a late and afew of us had been running instances and what not for hours. To add to this the server was acting up. People would jitter around for no reason, and we were getting LARGE lag spikes. By the time we had gotten to the Hexxer's room nerves were on edge. We had all wiped once due to a "tactical error" on Bobeccas part, and we wiped again on some of the mobs guarding Hexxer. Odily lashed out that he wasn't getting heals and Ham didn't want to hear the arguments so he dropped for awhile. I was getting tired, so I decided to cut my losses and call it a night. I hear they beat the Fishing boss, woo hoo...

Well, better wrap this up and get ready to get home!
Oh BTW the first pic was drawn by Shakken(ben) check out his art on his site!

The Graduate.

Wow its been awhile since I posted!
(How often do I type that)

Well, its offical, I'm a college graduate! In early December I earned my B.S. in Information Systems Technology from the College of Technology at the University of Houston. I never thought I would see the day. I'm (for the most part) done with college! I joked that I got level 60 in life to my World of Warcraft friends. I hope the endgame content is more fun than level 1-60. LOL

The days up to my graduation were tough, I was having serious problems with panic attacks. For 3 weeks I was haveing atleast one panic attack a day. It was like a minature hell, but I think I'm over it now.

I have been working at HAL-PC and my new job at HCC pertty hard. Well... Its hard to call those jobs "hard", the only thing "hard" about them is the hours, and even then its not that bad. I just want something more 9-5, where I acctually get to use my new skills.

Well I ran into some luck just recently. I decided to post my resume on Monster.com and I got a job offer! Its a small company here in Houston called Plant Automation Services, they develop applications that monitor oil and chemical plant controls. I hope I get the position, it would be great to do support on something other basic windows issues! The interview went really well, and the guy in charge of the help desk was really suprised at how much I like doing support.

I'm still playing World of Warcraft, and loveing the hell out of it! Ever since I switched over the Chaos Factors its been really fun! TrakCF works his ass off every week to do Molten Core runs with our guild. He spent a large chunk of his holidays setting up a new online DKP system that he can update on the fly. I got into the group via Clint, he asked me to goto one of their MC runs awhile back and a few weeks later I dropped out of Can't PvP and hooked up with his crew. I really liked Ryan's Can't PvP guild, but we just didn't have the members to do the end game content, and after doing an MC run with Clint, I wanted to try more.

We recently put Onyxia down after several weeks of trying. The fight isn't that hard, well its hard, but not much more than any thing we have done in MC. Our problem was that we just weren't working together. But TrakCF, Foruz, Bobecca(clint), and Odily really psyched us up to work harder. Heh... Odily's angle was more like a High School football coach. He was cursing at us with "We have fucking taken harder, we should be able to do this, you guys don't have your head in the game!" We finally got it down, and brought down the bitch. The drops were ok, not amazing (aka nothing for rogues, LOL) but the experience was well worth it. I hope to do it again with the CF crew soon.

The Holidays were fun, I got alot of great stuff, and gave alot of great stuff. My folks bought me a Blackberry for Christmas. What an awsome little device! I can surf the net, send and recive IMs using AIM or ICQ, read e-mail, manage contacts, setup a calender!
I got my sister a few funky shirt for Christmas, because... well she loves funky shirts! My brother got a collectors edition statue of General Grievous from Starwars Clone Wars. I got my mom a nice massage chair, and my dad a laser leveler. Its great to get gifts and all, but I really like to give. the look on people's faces when they get something they really wanted is great.

I no longer drive my crappy Ford Explorer! My folks put the down payment for a new Buick Rendezvous! Man I love this car, its got everything I need, and is confertable to drive. My favorite feature by far is the sunroof. In vehicles I always feel so closed in, but with my sunroof it feels so much more open! The sound system is nice, and the bass is clean. Before people thinkg "oh his mommy and daddy bought him a new car", no this is a used car, and I'm paying for half of it. I shouldn't expect to get a free ride from my parents, this is just a means to help build me some credit now that I'm done with college.

And thats what has happned since my last update!

One class down, one to go!

I just finished up with my final project for my Computer Security class. I did my presentation on operational security of a computer lab, by using Live CDs. I picked Ubuntu as my distro. While I really like Ubuntu as an installed distro, in hind site, I should have picked Mepis, which has a far superior Live CD. Oh well, perhaps I can re-do it for Mepis later. :)

Ben (Shakken) is doing a comic soon, based off an idea I gave him. I'm starting to regret it...
More news on that when it comes out.

I'm getting better at World of Warcraft, and I'm starting to get invites to upper level instances. I went on my first L.B.R.S. Run with the cool peeps at Chaos Factor. Later we attempted Zul'Gurub and failed, but it was fun in the end. My old friend Mark was there to provide comedy relief, and Governator's impersonations of Arnold were great! I really dig the peeps in Chaos Factor, and hope that Can't PvP continues to be in good terms with them.

My new character, Malachi, finally got to see some play time this past weekend. So far he hasn't died or received too many bad hits. It was a slow game this time, but we did sort out a lot of loot, and we are very close to fighting an evil necromancer. In two weeks, I expect that Malachi will get lots of killing in. >:)

I have a new job!

My sister Christina scored me a job oprotunity over at HCC. They were in the need of tech staff and after doing some compentency tests, and filling out some HR documents, I was in!

I will be doing IT support over at the new Medical Center location. The place is nice, and their support department looks good, and the people are intellegent and nice. I can't wait to start! I will still keep my night job at HAL-PC doing evening support and closing up, and my 12 hour shifts on Friday. 2x the job means 2x the money (and 1/2 the free time).

In other news, my friend John is on leave from Iraq for the next 2 weeks! Its good to see him again, in one peice. We got to see his badass bullet wound he got from an insergent drive-by. Well, it would have been bad ass if his girlfriend didn't draw 2 little eyes on it, now it looks like a frowning face :(

Haven't been playing too much WoW, but I am happy to say that our guild Can't PvP is back and better than ever! Dance came back to us after a short hiatus, and has refocused our efforts twards more group activites like Stealth raids. He worked his ASS off getting us a U.B.R.S. key.

D&D didn't go too well last week...
My character, Angeldevoid died due to massive owlbear damage. Our characters are so low level it was impossible for us to fine a resurection, so I guess Angel is worm food. I have started on a new character, Malachi. He is a lawful evil warrior that serves his masters loyally and kills his enemies brutally. I don't usually play evil characters, but what the hay, its only a temp character. I think my next character will be a cleric of some sort.

I'm starting to realize that my generation is getting old.
I was looking at Jay Axer's journal and discovered that he had gotten married. I rember I first started to read his stuff back in 1998. He isn't much older than I...
I should be graduating from college soon, maybe its about time that I grow up and prehaps settledown..

nahhh.

Dodged a bullet!

Well, it looks like Rita missed Houston, for the most part.

We left the Hospital at around 7am this morning. The wind was a little rough, and we drove over a downed power line that was on the freeway, but we are all safe. The house was in the same condition we left it. The only thing we noticed was the target's Store had some sign damage, and one neighbor lost one of his window boards. A lot of people in our neighborhood didn't have boards, and their windows were ok. The power is on here, and I have internet (obviously). We do get the occational flicker, but that's normal in T-storms in this area.

Oh f*** me.

Some stupid decison is threating to kick our family into a nearby shelter.

This isn't good since my father is a transplant patient, and my mother on concidered having us come here if we could stay close to her. Methodist Hospital staff wants us all to go accross the street, but luckly my mom's head nurse is trying to fight to get us to stay here. Even if it costs her job, so thats nice.

For now we can stay, but we may be split up or have to go back home. *sigh*

This is all happening with the Hurricane making land fall in less than 12 hours.
:(

On a somewhat lighter note, I have caught up on some episodes of "Heartful Days".
Hopefully this policy issue blows over and I can watch a few more.

Thursday, September 22, 2005

Rita is come'n!

Hurricane Rita is heading for Houston :(

But luckily I have a safe place to stay. My mother is Nurse in town, and we are able to stay at the hospital while she works the disaster shift. We boarded up the house so we are as prepared as we are gone get. Wish us luck :3

Anime to see, or not.

Heartful Days

Not a bad show, sure the harem Anime has been done to death, but this show just doesn't feel like one. It reminds me Ranma 1/2 more than anything. I think its because it watch more like animated sitcom. The show is about a kid named Ryuji who is an aspiring illustrator, he lives in this old Japanese mansion filled with wacky character. The hooks is one of the characters Kozue, has multiple personalities. The theme of the episode is usually set by one of Kozue's current personalities, or the introduction of new personalities. The characters and situation are fun, and seldom annoying. Its a good Anime in this sea of fanservice crap like Girls Bravo, and UG Girls.

Pani Pomi DASH!

Damn you Ben(Shakken) and your Anime suggestions! This show is absolutely insane. This show actually manages to beat out Excel Sage for being bat-shit insane. The show is about a 10 year old American girl genius named Becky. She is hired to teach at a Japanese High School. That's weird enough alone, but they mix in bizarre faculty and students, and just total random shit. For example in the first episode the Becky gets lost trying to find the school on the first day, and finds herself in the forest. In the middle of the forest is a coke machine. She mentions that she is thirsty and buys a drink. Immediately she complains that its warm and gets upset. She throws the can at the machine, and the door swings open. Inside is some kind of cat thing that informs her that he keeps the cans cold with his body, and asks her to take a free can for her troubles. That is both creepy, and bizarre. I don't know if I can ever accept Anime suggestions from Ben anymore. LOL.

Different, and unexpected.

The Revolution...

Nintendo said it would be something we wouldn't expect.

And we didn't.
I really like how Nintendo is so willing to try something new in this age of generic games with pretty graphics. However as we have seen with Virtual Boy, different doesn't always equal successful. Ben(Shakken) and I argued for awhile about the controller, and if its a step back or forward. Ben firmly stated that despite its new interface system, removing buttons from the controller was a step back and hindered developers. I disagreed stating that the new interface will usher in new games that truly different. But in the end I feel it too early for either of us to call it, especially when no games are currently working, or even announced for the system.

We will have to see.

Metal Gear Solid 4

I really like the direction that Kojima went with the world of MGS, but the new(old) character design for snake looks like my dad. Are gamers really going to want to play a geriactric version of their hero of MGS? I just hope it doesn't take a MGS 2 turn and forces you to play a new character that isn't snake half way through the game. Graphically the game is stunning, but I have to say I don't like the over use of normal maps on the models. For example, Ben brought up that Otacon's coat looks way to shiny. Jokingly I said, "In the future all clothes are made of polyester. The offical movie sould be out soon on the Kojima productions website soon.

My lame WoW Character

I realized that there are tons of pics of my old FFXI character, but none of my new WoW character. This is Angeldevoid, he is my usual character over on Nathrezim. I got him to level 60 awhile ago, prehaps I should work on getting his end game gear.

I'm currently a member of Can't PvP, but since I really need to work on end game gear, I'm really thinking about joining a big raid guild. Luckly I have two friends in Chaos Factor, and Synergy, so hopefully I'll have all my endgame stuff before too long.

PvP on Nathrezim is a blast, most of the hordies are easy pickings, however after months of being level 60, I'm starting to realize that my gear is really holding back my PvP survivablity.

oh...
The Greenday Concert was really badass last friday. :D
